About the Michigan Midwife
Homebirth & Waterbirth

Adarsa Antares has been part of the Michigan natural birth community since 2002.  Before experiencing an inner calling to make a difference in the birth community, Adarsa was a teacher for 7 glorious years (M.S. Ed.).  Adarsa is now a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), having received her credentials through The North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).  She trained as an apprentice with 3 senior midwives in the Metro Detroit Michigan area and participated in a midwife intensive at Casa DeNacimiento, a birth center in Texas.  Adarsa believes birth is a sacred time for a family and assists in creating a safe and fulfilling birth experience.

You can find Mother's Love Midwifery listed in the Michigan Midwives Association (MMA) online directory.

Personal Philosophy of Birth

I believe every birthing woman has the right to empowered choices.  As a midwife, I help guide parents through pregnancy and birth, informing them about all aspects of prenatal, birth and postpartum birth care options.  Every woman is unique, as is each pregnancy.  I tailor care to meet the needs of each individual.

As a midwife, I am honored to be an experienced assistant who is invited to be present for a great miracle--the birth of a child.
